William "Bill" Youhouse

June 1, 1936 — September 20, 2023

Hyattsville, MD

William (Bill) Frank Youhouse of Hyattsville, MD, was a loving and faithful son, husband, father; grandfather, brother, friend and United States Veteran. He passed away at the age of 87 years old, peacefully and, surrounded by family, on September 20, 2023 at Casey House, a wonderful caring hospice facility in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Bill was born on June 1, 1936 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania where his loving parents, Joseph and Ellen Youhouse, who have preceded him in death, raised him.

In 1954, Bill graduated from Brownsville High School where he enjoyed playing on the football team. He had many friends and loved his car, “The Mercury”. After high school, Bill attended a trade school to learn plumbing and air conditioning. After trade school, Bill joined the United States Army. He especially enjoyed and was proud of his service in Germany.

Bill’s life career was working in the plumbing and pipefitting industry. He worked for the Naval Ordnance Laboratory; later know as Naval Surface Warfare Center where he met, Beverly, who would become his wife of 52 years.

Bill and Beverly raised their family together in Hyattsville, Maryland. Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Pap) and especially enjoyed helping coach his children’s baseball and tee-ball teams, and later attending and cheering on his grandchildren’s games. After retiring from the Federal Government, Bill’s true work and passion began when he provided childcare for many of his grandchildren. He remembered those years as some of the best years of his life.

Bill was a devoted Christian and faithful member of College Park Church of God.

Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Beverly, sons William Frank Youhouse, Jr., Joseph Donald Youhouse (Marianella), daughters, Heather Christine Lee (Joshua), Catherine Marie Wells (Fred), granddaughter, Amber, grandsons, Josiah, Jonathan, Joseph, William “Carlin”, James, and his loving sister Joan Nagg.
