Donald V. Borgwardt was born and raised in Beltsville, MD. In 1985, he opened his doors to his present facility, and is an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Bowie, the local Jaycees, the Rotary Club, Birmingham Masonic Lodge #188, and Prince George’s County Crime Solvers. He is a past president of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards, State Board of Morticians, and a board member of the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association. His dedication to serving his community has been recognized by a Governor’s Citation for Distinguished Career and State Service, a Maryland State Senate and House of Delegates Citation for Dedicated Service to the State Board of Morticians, and an honorary police officer of Prince George’s County.
Donna is the eldest daughter of Don, and has lived most of her life in Beltsville, MD. She has been married to her husband, Keith for 25 years. She is the mother of two sons, one who lives in Crofton, MD and the other, in Texas. Her hobbies include reading, watching Redskins football and traveling most weekends to her family cabin in Lonaconing, MD or her beach house in Ocean City, MD.
She graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in October 2021 where she obtained an associate degree in Specialized Technology in Funeral Service Arts and Sciences. She became licensed in March 2022. She is looking forward to following in her father's footsteps and continuing with his legacy of serving the families of our community.

Diego was born in Ecuador and raised in Maryland. He graduated from the Mortuary Science program at CCBC. Diego has been licensed since April, 2019. His hobbies include racing and working on cars. Diego speaks English and Spanish.
Olivia was born and raised in Maryland. Her passion for helping those in need was solidified when she started working in funeral service shortly after graduating high school. Olivia recently received her license in July of 2024 after graduating from the Mortuary Science program at CCBC.
When not at the funeral home, she loves watching movies, going to concerts and spending time with her fiancé Jonathan and their 5 cats Little Boy, Maddie, Pumpkin, Luci, and Cheeto.
Bill has been an assistant with us since 2004. He really takes the time to get to know the families we serve. He lives in Anne Arundel County with his wife, where they raised their three children and two dogs. Bill enjoys using vintage woodworking machinery on a variety of projects. He’s always up for cooking a fine meal or taking his motorcycle on a ride through the country.

Jairo Sandoval was born and raised in San Miguel, El Salvador. He came to the United States in June, 2000 and lives in Laurel, Maryland.. Jairo graduated from Laurel High School. He has a dog name "Pulga" which means flea. He loves spending time with his family, enjoys a good soccer match and good coffee. Jairo speaks Spanish and English.
Victor lives in Beltsville and has been married for 10 years. He is originally from a remote village in Tanzania, East Africa where he maintained his family farm tea plantation working as a tree arborist. He loves gardening and landscaping. He enjoys knowing that coworkers and families are comforted by the beauty of the grounds here at the funeral home.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Carlene has been a resident of Maryland since 1995. She and her husband Al, currently reside in Gaithersburg with their 3 dogs and cat. They also have two adult children, Joelle, who lives in Richmond Va, and Sean, who lives in Texas. Her hobbies include Airstream-camping with her hubby and the dogs, at various National Parks and other scenic locations. She also loves to garden when the weather permits.
Having recently completed her studies at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Carlene will graduate in January of 2025, with an associate degree in Specialized Technology in Funeral Service Arts and Sciences. She looks forward to serving her apprenticeship and becoming the newest member of Borgwardt’s team of highly skilled licensed morticians/funeral directors.
